Cuts for the under 18 national team were made tonight. SEC targets Aaron and Andrew Harrison and Troy Williams were cut. The high school stars were upset. Troy Williams put up a message on Instagram. Aaron Harrison retweeted a fan's Tweet.Kentucky and Missouri target Julius Randle did make the cut along with Austin Nichols. Several SEC schools are interested in Nichols and have offered. Current Tennessee forward Jarnell Stokes also made the roster.
The coaching staff also has SEC involvement. South Carolina head coach Frank Martin was a court coach in training camp. Florida has two coaches on the USA U18 staff. Florida athletic trainer Dave Werner joins Florida head coach Billy Donovan.
